This well-written book will certainly become the reference in two different domains: obviously for the algebraic theory of Kac-Moody groups, but also for twin buildings. Actually Kac-Moody groups provide the generic examples of twin buildings whose classification is in progress in the 2-spherical case. But the non-2-spherical buildings supply some hyperbolic buildings, interesting as exotic CAT(−1) spaces and with discrete groups acting on them.
